Hypactive News - HARMONIZE, DIAMOND PLATNUMZ SET TO SIGN NEW ARTISTS THIS YEAR

Konde Worlwide is currently one of the best labels in TZ and is facing stiff competition from Wasafi Classic Records under the leadership of Diamond Platnumz.

Under Konde Worldwide, Harmonize has been able to achieve a lot in under one year, with the most notable achievement being the successful release of his ‘Afro East’ album early this year.

In addition to releasing ‘Afro East’, Harmonize signed Ibraah and nurtured him to become one of the fast-rising artistes in the country at the moment.

On the other hand, celebrated Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has announced that his Wasafi record label could soon sign a new artiste.

Speaking during an interview after Zuchu’s debut show over the weekend, Diamond noted that his label has invested in nurturing talent, adding that his label is working on signing a new artiste.

“… Miongoni mwa vitu ambavyo vimetusaidia na kutufikisha hapa hata sanaa yetu kuwa ni kuinvest, sisi tunainvest sana katika mziki kwa sababu tunaamini biashara yoyote haiwezi kuwa bila investment. Zuchu ni binti ambaye amevumilia sana, ana kipaji… Na sio tu yeye ata wasanii wengine wa WCB… Na nafikiri pia mda sio mrefu tutamtambulisha msanii mwingine pia,” he said.

The latest artiste to be signed on the label is Zuchu, who joined the WCB Family in March this year.

Since joining, Zuchu has been sensational, dropping hit after hit, and is currently being compared to top female artistes in the country.

She has been received really well, and had a sold-out concert over the weekend during her first live performance since joining the WCB family.

It is important to note that Diamond nurtured Harmonize before the two had a fallout in late 2019, prompting Harmonize to ditch Wasafi and start his new label.
